Editorial standards

Editorial policy

Business finance is a decision that affects real companies, so we hold our content to a clear standard. Here is how we make it.

Our principles

Muve Finance content aims to be fair, accurate, transparent and useful. We write for UK business owners making real funding decisions, not for search engines. We explain trade-offs as well as benefits, and we do not publish content whose only purpose is to rank.

Who writes and reviews it

Content is prepared by the Muve editorial team. Commercial finance pages — anything covering products, eligibility, fees, or lender matching — are then checked by our compliance review gate before they are made indexable. Product and funnel pages cannot skip compliance review.

Sourcing and claims

Factual statements are backed by sources, which we list on the page where relevant. We avoid unsupported claims about approval speed, facility size, rates, lender panels or outcomes. Where timing or availability depends on the provider, we say so, and we use "subject to status and provider criteria" near product and conversion copy.

Review dates and freshness

Time-sensitive pages carry a published date, an updated date and a next-review date. When facts change or a page reaches its review date, we refresh it and update the dates. Reviewed pages show who reviewed them.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and update the page's timestamp. If you spot an error, please tell us via our contact page.

Use of AI

We may use AI tools to help research, structure and draft content. AI does not publish anything on its own: every page is edited by a person, checked against sources, and — for finance topics — reviewed for compliance before it goes live. We do not use AI to invent numbers, rates, lender names, timelines or examples.

Commercial independence

We are paid by finance providers when a facility completes — see how we make money. Those commercial relationships do not decide what we write or how we present options.
